Photographic Evidence

I refuse to acknowledge that it's Halloween today. I'm just glad it'll be over after tonight. Instead, let me give you crystal clear proof of one of the many reasons I detest this "holiday."

Not surprisingly, these are the same people who tackified (is that a word?) Easter. I wonder where they keep all these heinous decorations?

Ugh.

I Have Another Question

This is not a profound post by any means, but I'm very curious about something. Do you or anyone you know shop using QVC or HSN on TV?

Anytime I flip channels and land on one of these two networks, I always wonder "Does anyone actually watch this stuff?!" I would almost rather do anything than watch people drone endlessly about how amazing a certain product is. But I'm genuinely interested to know WHO watches these networks because obviously SOMEONE does.

Have you bought anything off TV? Have you ever watched QVC or HSN for any length of time? If not, do you think you ever would? Actually, I might watch just to mock. :)

My Favorite Cookies

I happen to love cookies. I'm not really sure why. They certainly aren't the most popular of desserts. Maybe it has something to do with fond childhood memories.

As a result, I have a lot of great cookie recipes which I use quite often. Chocolate chip. Peanut Butter. Oatmeal. No Bake. Sugar. Snickerdoodles. M&M. (Is your mouth watering?) For me, the most important attribute of a cookie is that it MUST be soft! Even though I love cookies, I would NEVER eat a burned one and I'll only eat hard ones if I'm desperate. :)

A few years ago, a friend's mom made these cookies she called "Autumn Spotlights". *sigh* They instantly became my favorite kind of cookie and you wouldn't believe how EASY they are to make! I thought I'd share the recipe in case there are other fellow cookie-lovers out there!

AUTUMN SPOTLIGHTS

1 package yellow cake mix (not the butter recipe kind)
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup water
2 eggs

Mix these ingredients togther.

Fold in 1 cup Reese's Pieces (or more, if you prefer).

Bake at 350 degrees for 7-9 minutes.

Enjoy!

If you try this recipe, let me know what you think.

I Want This Shirt

Not surprisingly, there are quite a few people out and about who share my passionate dislike for those heinous shoes called Crocs. (Remember, if you wear these shoes, please don't take this personally. I understand that many, many people are fans of Crocs. It's just a personal opinion.)

Anyhoo, there's actually a site calle I Hate Crocs! They have these cool shirts and this is my favorite:

If you can't read it, it says "Friends don't let friends wear Crocs." Love it!

Happy Birthday to...

.... the lovely JD, a very dear friend of mine for 12 years! She's hilarious, fiercely loyal, and grand fun! I love her laugh and her smile and her beautiful green eyes. I can talk to her about ANYTHING and she loves me unconditionally.

She, of course, gets the whole PK thing. She knows me so well and I can trust her. We've had more fun together doing the most mundane things.

Happy Birthday, my BFF. I love you so much and I wish I could celebrate with you in person. Have a simply fabulous birthday!

Sorry, Y'all

The creative juices are just not flowing lately. You know me, I'll get back into the swing of things ... let's hope sooner rather then later!!

Thank You, Cleveland

As loyal Orioles fan, of course I despise the Yankees. Since my team isn't in the playoffs, (and prollie won't be for a while... *sigh*) I root for any team that is playing against the Yankees.

Thanks to the Indians, the Yanks are ONCE AGAIN out of the playoffs this year!!

So, any baseball fans, who are you rooting for to win the World Series?

Okay, so what's the first thing that comes to mind when you read these words?

2. Chinese Food

3. Faux Pas

4. Snickerdoodles

Let me know!

Heinous Shoes Of The Weekend

Here's more than enough proof that Donna Karan should stick to designing clothes and get out of the shoe designing business. Bleck. If you want any of these first three pairs, you'll have to shell out at least $400. Not $4, mind you, four HUNDRED dollars.

Believe it or not, these.... uh, shoes (?) retail for $979.00!! I had to sit down to write that out.

It occurred to me that the ugly shoes should be posted during the week and the fabulous shoes should be posted for the weekend. Buuuuuuut, the fabulous shoes could cheer up a bleak week as long as the ugly ones wouldn't ruin your weekend. Hm.

Fantasy Shoe of the Week

I'm always looking for great flat shoes that can be dressed up or down. If only I had $390 to spare, I'd prollie go to down to my local Saks and pick up a pair. So adorable!
