It's pretty amazing to me how the weather can affect your mood and emotions-- and perhaps it affects some people more than others. Here in beautiful Maryland, it was 70 to 80 degrees over the weekend, and, wow, did I enjoy the weekend!On Friday, we had a picnic with the fam which was fun and relaxing. Karis and Kylie love to play outside! Karis thought it was quite amusing that her Auntie JuJu could hit the wiffle ball so far. Kylie tried her taste buds on a few rocks. I'm not sure if she found them to her liking or not.
On Saturday, Kylie and I hung out at the park to soak up some rays. Kylie is such a happy baby, and really starting to come into her own sweet little personality. She just melts your heart when she gives you kisses.
The rugrats were over on Monday and Karis let me "do" her hair. Auntie JuJu is starting her out early with lip gloss and hairspray. :) What can I say? She looks so cute with pigtails! She wouldn't stand still for a picture, so I basically chased her around the house, trying to get her to pose. At right, Karis is making her "sad face." Looks more like grumpy face to me. :)
I always knew I would love being an auntie, but I didn't know how much. The girls bring so much joy and laughter to me. It's so fun to play with them and watch them grow and marvel over the new things they can do. Children truly are a blessing from the Lord.

Wow. They are SUPPOSED to still be babies. I'm really not into this "watch other people's children grow up just to make me feel old" bit. I find it insulting.
But they *are* cute and I KNOW you make a perfectly lovely aunt! (Cute pigtails.) ;)
