It's My Party!!

It's officially August 25, so I can say, "It's my birthday!!" I do enjoy birthdays (mine or others'). It's a time for fun mail (thank you to everyone who sent me a card!!). An excuse to get together with family and friends. An opportunity to celebrate life and count your blessings. Not to mention presents! Oh, and cake. :) [I think I'm about 2 or 3 in the picture below... am I workin' that pose or what?!]


Whenever my birthday comes around, I am humbled to realize how many people care about me. I am so blessed! My parents have given me so much and trained me and built strong relationships with me. They want the best for me and I never doubt their love for me. [I posted the picture below because it's one of my parents' favorites. Apparently I enjoyed my sleep then as much as I do now. :) ] PS: Mom, thank you for enduring pregnancy and labor to have me!!


My brother and I have a very special relationship-- one of my greatest treasures. He knows me so well and is always there for me. He has taught me so much and has been such a great example to me of following the Lord. Every time his family gets bigger, there's more fun people to love and play with in our family. [Tell me you see Karis in that picture!]


And beyond family, I have had so many amazing friends come into my life. Friends who have given of themselves, laughed with me, supported me, had fun with me, taught me, encouraged me, believed in me, and simply blessed me. It would be impossible to name them all, but I'd venture to guess that if you're reading this, you're probably one of them.

I hope you know that I appreciate and love each of you. I wouldn't be the person I am today without all of you.
