Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

So, Saturday was my twentysomething-th birthday. :) I was a little concerned that it might not be a great birthday since nothing was really planned. My parents kept asking me what I wanted to do and I never had an answer. V was my only blog reader that had a suggestion! I even had a dream that my family picked a restaurant I hated.

You'll be happy to know (or maybe you don't even care, who am I to say?) that I had a fabulous birthday. It was almost like I didn't do anything and it all fell into place. (Although, perhaps my mom did more work than I realize.)

On Friday night, we had a few people over for dessert, snacks, and games. I LOVE to play games, but for some reason, don't get the chance very often. I bought my game Loaded Question (which we've played online) a few months ago and we played it for the first time on Friday night. It was so much fun! I couldn't believe how different everyone's answers were!

We also played Catch Phrase (which is like Taboo). My dad could not seem to grasp the concept that he was supposed to give verbal clues in order for his team to guess the answer. His version was Charades. He was so funny, and we were all laughing so hard, which made it impossible for his team to make a guess.

It was a great night. Thanks to all those who made it a very happy birthday for me.

Saturday was also tons of fun. My mom and I were going out to lunch and, at the last minute, two of my good friends were able to join us. So, we put a hurtin' on some yummy Mexican food and had a great visit. My mom almost got the waiter to sing a solo for me! I rescued him and told him he didn't have to sing! Poor guy.

All in all, it was a fun weekend, which I'm hoping to continue to stretch out. :) Thanks to everyone who made it all so fun and special.

I'm at work, so I can't post pictures, but I'll try to do that this evening.
