Psychic Rebate

So, I was driving and listening to the radio (silence is the car is not an option, you see) and heard a commercial for psychic readings. It's weird to me that you need to advertise for readings except... hm... maybe they already know that's where the customers come from so it's actually smart business.

Anyway, the more weird thing was that they were offering some sort of money back guarantee. I'm not making this up. They actually said, "If you don't get the best pyschic reading you've ever had, you'll get your money back."

What exactly is the standard? If you don't hear that you're going to be rich, find lasting love, travel to exoctic places, get every pair of shoes you always wanted, magically wake up beautiful one day, etc. then you can get your money back? Does they always tell everyone exactly what they want to hear? Aren't they painting themselves in a corner with a guarantee like that?

And how exactly do you compare pyschic readings? How do you know if it's the best if you've never had a reading before?

Just .... weird. And amusing.

The pyschic tells you that it is the best because they have seen your future.
