Baseball Girl
The older one got a pink baseball helmet and pink bat for her birthday. She's turning into quite the little athlete. I have a video of her hitting that I've been trying to post for a while, so I guess I'll keep trying because it's cool.

Vote!
So, last poll had uh, shall I say, quite a few answer choices. There's a new poll up with only two answers, but I can't say it makes the question any easier.
I would launch into some silly political speech, thanking for your support and asking for your vote and all that. Instead, I'll just say: Go vote!
(And thanks!)
PS: Regardless of how you vote, if you have any ideas or suggestions on how you personally have improved your relationship with the Lord, I'd love to hear them. You can leave them in the comment section of this post.

Cool Challenge
CB challenged her blog readers to this test. I know I got most of my answers only because of all the missionaries we support or know. I wish I could say that I've BEEN to 56 countries! Now, THAT would be way cool!

Shoes. You Know, Those Things I Love
Now y'all KNOW I respect and admire (perhaps even secretly adore) the talented and amazing Mr. Choo. So, in this case, I suppose I will be speaking the truth in love. Because even though I believe Mr. Choo usually produces works of art, I cannot, in good conscience, support this design:
But, in reality, I'd take my $400 to Payless and buy like 20 pairs of shoes. :-D

Victory?
I found this from a blog I read and loved it so much I wanted to share it. :)
"Perhaps our long international nightmare is finally over. Shares of Crocs Inc plummeted over 40 percent on Tuesday, a day after the maker of brightly colored plastic shoes slashed its sales and earnings projections for the first quarter and year, in what one analyst dubbed a “stunning fall.”
“Current macrotrends in the environment” have led to weaker-than-expected sales, according to Crocs Chief Executive Ron Snyder, speaking to analysts during a conference call on Tuesday. Colder weather and the closure of the company’s Canadian factory were also expected to crimp profit. Factories producing Satan’s feetwear are closing? Sales of ugly plastic clogs are plummeting? Super Villain CEOs are whining at the press?
Can ticker-tape parades and joyous public pronouncements of thanksgiving be far behind?"

Oh.My.Word.
It just keeps getting worse. Yesterday, when I bought gas, I passed a station where it was $3.35 per gallon. I drove past it today, and guess how much it was? $3.45 per gallon!!!!
How is this possible?

To Melt Even The Coldest Of Hearts
Here is a short clip of my dad trying to get the girlies to crack up. He succeeds fairly well and you all know there's just something about children's laughter. It's very contagious and uplifting.

Too Funny Not To Share
So, I was talking to my auntie on the phone and we were starting to say our goodbyes. She was leaving the office to go home, gathering up her stuff. All of a sudden, she says, "I wonder if I got everything. I'm not sure where my phone is. I probably left it in there." Of course, I immediately just died laughing. Once she realized she was ON her phone, she started laughing, too. Great memory.

I've also been meaning to share this hilarious and incredibly bizarre happening. A few days ago, I was at the park with a friend. We were sitting on a bench, eating pizza when a little girl (she was 7 years old) walked up to me and asked, "Are you trying to get pregnant?" I blinked a few times, almost fell off the bench, and then said, "Uh, what?" She repeated the question, "Are you trying to get pregnant?" I gained my composure enough to ask, "What makes you think I'm trying to get pregnant?" In my head, I'm thinking, "Does eating a slice of pizza at the park mean you're trying to get pregnant?"
She vaguely explained that if you "eat everything on the table, that means you're going to get pregnant." Uh, okay. I had one piece of pizza. It was just too weird to really get into, and she wandered onto another subject, but we laughed about it for a while.

I just can't stop with the funnies. I've been storing them up for y'all. The younger one has a tendency to... well, pick her nose. :) We've been trying to break her of this habit and she's actually doing well. The other day, however, we all caught her digging deep. At least two of us said, "Ky, don't pick your nose." Her reply: "Well, it's way back in there." We all cracked up so loudly that we might have undone all that training. :)
*****
Okay, last one because I don't want to leave the older one out. My mom and I were watching the girlies the other night and I started playing playdoh with them. We made all sorts of shapes, including eyeglasses. Then, the girlies just started putting shapes on their faces, like a mustache. My mom had gone upstairs and I decided to go get my camera. When I came back upstairs, I was in the other room messing with my camera. I heard the older one trying to get herself a drink and spilling water on the floor, so I ran in there to help her. All of a sudden, she starts furiously rubbing her nose and whining. Then she started crying, still rubbing her nose.
I kept asking her what was wrong and finally she told me she had put some playdoh up her nose. I looked up her nose but couldn't see anything at all. She kept rubbing her nose and I was afraid she was going to push it up higher. I held her one nostril shut and got her to blow out her nose. The first time she blew, some red liquid dribbled out so then I believed there was something up there. After a few more "blows", a piece of red playdoh popped out. I was trying sooooooooooo hard not to laugh especially because she was still upset.
The funniest part of the whole situation was when, after the playdoh came out, she said, "I thought that would be funny, but it wasn't." It was all I could do not to fall off the chair. See, I took a picture for her scrapbook. Will she thank me some day? :)

Shoes Both Ways
Wow. I've never heard of Veronique Branquinho, but I must admit I think she should consider a new career.

For sure, if (and that's a ginormous if!!) I was going to drop over $500 on a pair of shoes, I'd much rather own these:
These pumps just reminded me of a warm and sunny Spring day. I wish our weather would follow suit. :) [But I'm not complaining too loudly because those of my lovely friends in the Northwest are STILL getting snow!! In April!!]

Good Clean Family Fun
Okay, so, some of you may be shocked by this video. (Believe it or not, we don't live in West Virginia, but you could prollie SEE WVa from where we were standing. Does that count?)
So, anyway, a bunch of us call this "good, clean family fun!"
Actually, to me, the funniest part of this video is me gasping at the explosion. Yes, that's me. :)
