This wasn't the best episode for me because I came in about 15 minutes into the show. But there were still fun, exciting, annoying, and sweet moments. A special goodbye and "Well-run Race!" to the Nerds. I was sad to see them go, but not surprised since they were really running out of steam. I'm happy they still appreciate one another, enjoyed themselves, and were excited about their experience. Ray & Yolanda really need to step it up. I would be very grateful if they knocked out some of the teams I DON'T like!
I've watched all but one season of the AR, and can't recall any instance where two teams flip-flopped 1st and 2nd place like the Hippies and Frat Boys. The title refers to the following quotes: “They’re definitely dumb, but people who are very dumb wind up having the best luck. But eventually dumb luck runs out.” [BJ on the Frat Boys] and “The funny thing is when we all get together they just run happily with smiles behind us, little pixie dust flying everywhere. It’s no fun for us.” [Eric on the Hippies] I'm not actually clear on the meaning of Eric's statement, which I guess is evidence supporting BJ's statement. :) Note to Jeremy: Dead fish can't puke on you. They're dead.
I do wish another team would get 1st or even 2nd place (!) although I don't foresee that happening. Perhaps it'll make the race more exciting in the end since it seems impossible that any other team besides these two would win. Will the Yields and Fast Forwards make a difference in The Race?
Random Thoughts...
- Barry is one hairy guy. Do guys ever shave their shoulders? If not, they should!! I might start calling their team "Hairy Barry and his Wrinkly Wife". Too harsh? Or just plain funny?
- Eric's "Local Celebrity" t-shirt was just retarded. And Jeremy's primping is comical. Those guys pump iron and do all they can to be macho, then they primp like teenage girls?
- Lake's done 4 Roadblocks in a row! This might be the undoing of their team since Michelle will need to do most of the remaining ones.
- Monica is a tough girl, but she sure doesn't look quite as glamorous as when they started the race!
I'm honestly hoping for a shakeup starting next week! Will it happen?
