I know this may seem trivial or silly or just plain dumb to some people, but I must confess my love affair with all things Target. :)
The Store
You know those questionaires that ask you where you'd max out your credit card? My answer would be Target. I love its clothes, shoes, jewelry, sunglasses, baby stuff, stationary, cosmetics, music, decorations, books, luggage, wrapping paper, movies, cards, purses, and especially its clearance sales! There's something about Target's quirky sense of style that appeals to me.
The Commercials
In general, I HATE commercials unless they are creative or funny (a sad little minority, right?). But I love Target commercials. I can spot them a mile away. They're artsy and creative and just plain cool.
The Catalogs
This past Christmas, we received a special gift catalog from Target in the mail. I oohed and ahhed over it for days-- I think I would have been happy to get every single thing in it! :) My dad said, "I know what I'm getting you for Christmas- a Target gift card!"
The Uniforms
How can you not love the red and khaki? Two great colors to wear. Maybe when I grow up, I'll be a Target Team Member.
Yes, I know this is a silly post. But, c'mon, it's TARGET we're talking about! :)

Sorry Julie,
I can't stand the commercials. I can spot them a mile away too.....and I run! :-)
I just stumbled over here from Rachel's Fishbowl, and I just have to say that I could have written this post! We both must have the same "obvious" taste and sense of style! I love Target! It really is a whole store full of eye-candy, isn't it?
You forgot two raves:
1. The almost non-existent lines at the checkout...I've never waited more than a minute. And...
2. (This is my biggest rave) NO MUSIC on the PA system! Did you ever notice? It is completely silent. I love that there is no obnoxious music/noise on in the background. I could just dreamily wander the aisles for hours...if it weren't for my three, little children!
Our Target is an easy on and off of the highway, the parking is ample, the cart returns, abundant...I could go on and on! Have you ever returned something there? (have you ever had the need, is a better question!) You don't need your receipt, b/c they can easily and quickly look up your receipt by swiping the credit card you used...even returns are easy at their store!
And what about the Dollar Spot...isn't that just the classiest little "mini" dollar store you ever did shop at?
Everything is more pretty, or classy, or funky at Target! For example, even the paper shredder that I purchased at Target is cuter than a comparable one at Wal-mart. Oh my I need to stop, but I completely understand your love of Target (or "Tar-jshay" if you're really "cool" and yuppy!)
I'm with you! We get to go tomorrow and I can't wait! I love their style!
Oh, yes....I love Target too.
Ours is a little farther away though, and in a direction we never go in, so I rarely go there. :(
Now I'll have to plan a time to go out there! Hhhmm...maybe I can skip over tomorrow! :D
Wow, so many great comments! CG- you just need to refine your tastes in commercials. :) Abbi, you are SO right- I forgot about all the great things you mentioned. And yes, everything IS cuter, funkier, and more fun at Target. Rach, sorry about the power of suggestion, I seem to be guilty of that a lot lately. :)
It's nice to know there are other fellow Target-lovers out there. Happy shopping
