So, by now, you prollie all know about Britney's 16 year old sister being pregnant. I'm curious as to what y'all think about it.
I haven't thought too much about it and wasn't shocked by any means. It's not like she's the first 16 year old that ever got pregnant. It's certainly sad that they claim to be "devout Christians".
You know, in our country, more than ever "safe sex" and birth control are jammed down kids' throats. And yet, it doesn't really seem to make a difference in the teen pregnancy rate.
Anyhoo, just wondered what y'all thought, if anything.

No surprise here...although I guess I was a bit surprised that she didn't just abort the baby.
But still, I can't help but long for the time when this would have been such a scandal that she would not have gone into public until the baby was born, and then the baby would be adopted by parents who could raise it with a better future. You can't help but feel sorry for the poor kid being born into such a situation!
Mostly agree with Rachel's comments - not surprised by the pregnancy, but surprised by the decision to keep the baby. I have to give kudos for not aborting, when it is such a common method of birth control nowadays. I feel sorry for the yet-to-be-born baby, and for Jamie Lynn. Everyone makes mistakes, but can you even imagine the unnatural amount of pressure that is placed on her daily, as well as the crazy publicity? How would you like the whole world to know that you screwed up royally? The claim of devout Christianity, however, is embarassing! What "Christian" parents would ever push their daughters into the lives that Brittney and Jamie Lynn have lead? Frankly, as dumb as they both are, I still feel terribly sorry for them. They can't be very happy.

I try, as hard as absolutely possible, not to think about Britney Spears.
Or her sister.
