So, this isn't a loaded question, but I did want to ask everyone this question:
What hairstyle would you NEVER wear?
I started thinking about this because I saw a lady with massive (and nasty) dreadlocks. I personally would NEVER wear dreadlocks. I shudder at the thought of not washing or combing my hair. I was once on a plane and sat behind someone with dreadlocks. Those things smelled SO bad, I almost puked.
It's a toss-up, though, between dreads and a mullet. I honestly can't decide which would be worse, but I would never wear either of them. :)
So, what about you?

Personally, a bob. When I was young, my sister had one because of all the gum she got in her hair. The result, she looked like a walking lollipop. Thus I have a bad association with that style.
Besides the ones you have already mentioned (heehee), I would have to say a man's haircut on a woman. You know, the super short, almost buzz-cut. {shudder} It just looks so wrong.
Hahaha!
I have to laugh because I have considered all of these!
dreadlocks? yes. Never had them, but did have my hair in braids for quite a while (not a good idea: my hair is much too thin and as result I looked bald; but I was in 7th grade and quite the tom-boy so it didn't really matter) Thought about doing dreadlocks on several occasions, but alas, the thin hair thing reminds me that they'd probably be a bust.
Bob? yes. Thought about it and had one. Seen the French film Amile? She's so super cute with her little bangs and adorable bob.
super-short? oh, yes. The adorable pixie-cut, with a bit of textured spike? Totally wish I could wear it, but alas, I have very round cheeks and should not. You must have very feminine angles to get away with that one.
So what wouldn't I wear?
Straight cut. I see so many women walking around without any layers or styling at all, no products, no nothing. Just hair. It's often unattractive. I want to grab them and be like "oh honey, just ONCE pay the fancy hair-dresser to give you a cut that is YOU; your hair, your face, your maintenance level, and go with that forever.... but don't do what you're doing now... which must be nothing...."
The only thing worse than that is 80's hair: you know, the A-frame with puffy bangs? I see a lot of mid 30's women wearing these and I want to be like "wow, the world has moved ON!" There is nothing natural or attractive about it.
:D
This isn't so much a style as it is a color...I would never do the bleach blonde with the dark eyebrows...it just doesn't look good. And I would never choose to do the bald look. But I did think that all the answers given were very reminiscent! HA!
Wow! I really have to agree with ELRJ on the 80s hair! I personally know a couple of ladies who still have monster bangs. It wouldn't be so bad if it were just them, but then they do it to their helpless little girls, too! What did they do to deserve such punishment? I am not entirely against bangs. I had them most of my life (yes, including the awful big 80s hair), but they shouldn't be taller than your head! :)

I agree with elrj - 80s hair is not so hot. especially when paired with 80s makeup. I also don't like the mullet. but i haven't yet seen mention of farrah fawcett hair. I am not a huge fan of the farrah hair - it seems like far too often, it's the women of that generation still wearing that style, and it just makes them look really old.
I read on a website the following comment about the amount of product she had to have in her hair to get it to look like that: "Farrah's former husband, actor Lee Majors, once stated that a broken nose he had suffered, was a result of Farrah rolling over in her sleep with her hair in a ponytail, with the ponytail striking his face." If you have enough gel, mousse and hairspray in your hair to make it a lethal weapon, it's probably too much.
before i even finished reading the post, my mind was screaming MULLET!!!! then it occurred to me that the hairstyle i despised the most...i was giving it to my kids! my one yr old is going through the weirdest hair stage, and i just keep cutting her bangs. sure enough, she has a girl mullet ~ half bangs, half longish in the back! ACK!
