The Birthday Report

A flurry of posts and then an abrupt halt. Ah, well. :)

I had a great birthday! Woo Hoo! Thanks to all of you who made it great with cards and emails and gifts and well-wishes and shout-outs. I do appreciate it!

My family took me down to Baltimore Inner Harbor to celebrate. We ate lunch at my favorite restaurant- the Cheesecake Factory. Any day where you eat at the Cheesecake Factory is a fantastic day! It's famous for its cheesecake, but the food there is divine! The waiter brought me a mini-sundae and then (with my family) sang to me. Yea for me. :)

We walked around the Inner Harbor, watched the Fudgery show, hit some shops (hence the crap hats), and bought tickets for a harbor cruise. We were all amazed that in the 28 years we have lived in Maryland, we have never taken a cruise in the Harbor. It was a lot of fun and a beautiful day.

While we were waiting to board the ship, we all got dessert- some wanted cheesecake and others wanted ice cream. I, of course, got my favorite vanilla bean cheesecake (*sigh*) and enjoyed it immensely.

We were all pretty tired by the time we got to the car and drove home. All in all, it was quite an enjoyable birthday!

Other Random Facts:

- 1st Person To Wish Me Happy Birthday Via Phone: JB

- Weird Birthday Coincidence: I was talking to my grandmother on the phone, and when I ended the call, it was 8 minutes, 25 seconds-- Aug. 25!! Strange, huh?

- Present I Got That I Never Thought I'd Get: my family had a keyless entry system installed in my car. It's something I've wanted for a long time, but never thought I'd actually get. It's one of those things I found hard to buy for myself. But I sure am enjoying it.

- Times Karis and Kylie Wanted To Sing Happy Birthday To Me In The Car: 5 or 6, at least.

- # of Funny Cards I Received: Too many to count. :)

Hey Juls...happy birthday! I didn't know it was your b-day, but now I do.
So...you have a blog do ya? Well, I always enjoy a new venue to take my rants to. Maybe this would be a good format for all of those fun conversations we have together??
Anyway...your awesome Juls and we'll talk soon

Jas, don't forget, you are the all-american GOLDEN boy. :) Thanks for stopping by and for the birthday wishes. Rant away, it'll be entertaining for the readers, but let's not make it too mean- we don't want to scare them away.

Carrie- my poor father is such a good sport. :)
