[pictured above: Lover's Lane]When: August 28- September 1, 2000
Where: Prince Edward Island, Canada
Who: Friends C, R, D, and K (three of which are now married!)
What: One of the most fantastic trips EVER!
Why: If I need to explain it, you just don't get it.
[pictured below: Cape Tryon Lighthouse]

I honestly don't think I could put into words how amazing this trip was! We visited some of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. We stopped at the "Anne" sites, we went to at least 9 lighthouses, we drank Raspberry Cordial, we stayed in a lighthouse, we watched the sunset from North Cape (pictured below), we went to the Anne musical, we ate at Dalvay-By-The-Sea, we took a carriage ride by the Lake of the Shining Waters, and stopped to take pictures at least a hundred times.
Here's an excerpt from my journal from 6 years ago: "The countryside is breathtaking-- just when you think you've seen the prettiest spot on the Island, you come around another bend or to the top of another hill."

Other Things I'll Never Forget From This Trip:
- C crying when we crossed the bridge because she was so excited and happy
- R and all the moose jokes (we never did see a moose!)
- Getting my first speeding ticket (with four friends in the car... nice!)
- Asking the guy at the ticket booth if he was Gilbert (and completely embarassing C)
- Almost running out of gas in the middle of no where
- The red cliffs
- The feeling of never wanting to leave a place
- Jul -
PS: R and C, how happy are you that I didn't post that picture of the two of you in the Haunted Woods? Monetary demonstrations of extreme gratefulness are accepted. ;-)

Happy, happy, HAPPY sighs this morning. Goodness that was THE BEST trip I have ever taken with friends. Ever. Bar none. Fabulous times. Hilarious memories.
Thank you for the Good Morning "card" of sorts.
I'm smiling.
Glad to brighten your days, girls. Thoughts and pictures of that trip always make me smile. Ah, the Death by Chocolate donuts- forgot about those! I do, however, remember those mosquitoes-- even wrote about them in my journal!
Glad y'all are smiling, too!
Hmm...and looking back...these are the moments I wish I had a Digital SLR for. ;D But even still people -- these pictures ...almost every single one ... were AMAZING even without Photoshop! =D The colors were just all around stunning. It truly was a gorgeous place. IS.
That sounds like quite I fun trip! It's always great to experience those things with friends:)
