Seen & Heard

So, I saw this bumper sticker that made me crack up:

"I tried to childproof the house, but they keep getting in."

And earlier in the day, I overheard a conversation between a mother and her teenage son. I literally had to cover my mouth and walk away because I thought they would hear me laughing. Basically the conversation involved the son attempting to convince his mom why she should contribute to his purchase of some sort of video game system. He had the plan all worked out-- he would contribute $100 for the system and pay for the games while his parents would pay the rest for the actual system.

He explained the plan a few times, but his mom didn't seem to be going for it. So, she asked him why exactly they should pay for any of it since they weren't receiving any benefit from having a video game system.

His response? (And I promise you I am not making this up!) He told his mom the benefit to her was that he would quit bothering her about it!!!!!!! Unbelievable!
